Live Organisms 10-50 µm –
The Port of Baltimore was experiencing a bloom of
dinoflagellate
Prorocentrum minimum
during this trial, which was by far the dominant species in this size
category (approximately 95% of the phytoplankton found in samples).
Other species in this size
category included:
Chaetoceros
sp.,
Pediastrum
sp.,
Cosinodiscus
sp., and
Gymnodinium
sp.
Viable Bacteria and Indicator Pathogens
– In general, levels of regulated pathogens were low in
all samples regardless of analytical method used. Full datasets available upon request.
