The ADQ determined that MERC’s sample measurement system performed in
accordance with the performance goals specified in the MERC QAPP and Hyde Test Plan and
that the data were accumulated, transferred, reduced, calculated, summarized, and reported
correctly. There is sufficient documentation of all procedures used in the data collection and
analysis to verify that the data have been collected in accordance with MERC quality objectives.
Data Quality Assessment:
A Data Quality assessment (DQA) is a scientific and statistical
evaluation of validated data to determine if the data are of the right type, quality, and quantity to
support their intended use.
The
DQA determined that MERC’s data quality objectives, described
in Section A.7 of the MERC QAPP were achieved. This evidence supports conclusions that:
1.
The sampling design performed very well and is very robust with respect to changing
conditions.
2.
Sufficient samples were taken to enable the reviewer to see an effect if it were
present.
3.
Data on the performance of the Hyde systems are unambiguous, and a decision maker
can make an informed choice about how to proceed with a high level of certainty.
