5.3.4. Event Control and other Global Elements
•
Events
– The System shall log and report system data in Event groups, which started and
stopped by the user. All logging is started when an event is initiated, and stopped when
an event is concluded. A user must have sufficient privileges (quality officer or above) to
initiate or conclude an event. Events are serialized automatically by IMAC, and serial
number is logged

Ballast Cycle
– Cycle selected on Piping screen Ballast Order Telegraph
•
Sampling Cycle
– Cycle selected on Sample screen Ballast Order Telegraph
•
Treatment Status
– Disposition of the Treatment System, based on the #1 digital input
from the Treatment System to the IMAC. On or Off, based on a single designated digital
input.
5.4. HMI Screens
The following section details the elements that shall be included on each of the interface screens.
5.4.1. Home Screen

Location field. In lieu of a GPS signal input to IMAC, users shall manually enter the
physical location of the Barge for each event.

Link to Existing Documents – A pushbutton link to any location within the HMI Server’s
Windows file structure that is deemed useful to the MERC Operators.
